Hetalia Day Fairmount Park Philadelphia October 20th, 2012
So my father decided that I write a section for his blog, which also ( luckily,) is my favorite topic. So for now you can get me by the name of Schatten Vergissmeinnicht.So, all-in-all, I really liked Hetalia-day, und all the cosplayers were fantastic! It was indeed fun, but a few tips would be-
- If you don't want to look like an idiot, I suggest you cosplay, because if you don't, the cosplayers want pretty much nothing to do with you, und note that MOST of the people there ARE cosplaying. But I never said that you could not hug them still!
- Since most people don't know your OC ( If you have one, ) It would be a smart idea just to go as a Hetalia character instead of your own.. But it would be fun to have a Hetalia OC day, wouldn't it? Maybe I'll host one of those someday~
- Try to be as in-character as possible! If you act flat, or anti-social, what's the point in coming at all?! Just to look at the other cosplayers? YOU CAN DO THAT ONLINE, DUDE.
Sadly, I didn't put much thought into my cosplay, because I didn't even know the event was going to be held anywhere nearby until like, 23 hours before. FEDEX UND UPS DOES NOT SHIP THAT FAST.
But as I said, Hetalia day is fun, cosplaying or not! Und next year, I'll be ready to go again, cosplay und ALL!

Where is Hetalia????
Where art thou?
Why can we not find the funiamtion series that my kids love so much?? It cannot be found. Unless you search it out on you tube you can no longer enjoy the show which is an absolute anime classic....My daughter said "DADDD!!!!! I CAN'T FIND MY SHOOWWWW!!!!!"So where is the show??? Why do they only play episodes of Dragonball z but no funimation shows.....
Support Funimation.... so Hetalia got the boot because of online protest???? This happened around February of 2010 its airing would offend Korea and the way the show depicted Korea... even though Korea may not even have been a character in the show??? So unfortunately for the fans online viewing will be the only way to go...

This is an Anime comic cartoon...The characters are named after countries which are the allies and axis powers of World War II....Italy, Germany and Japan are the Axis Powers and America, England, France, Russia, China ect. are the Allies Powers.Gentosha Comics started it as a webcomic, First episode was March 28th, 2008. Tokyopop translated it into english shortly after and it topped the NEW YORK TIMES best seller list for manga....Studio Deen turned it into an online streaming series on January 8th , 2010 and was managed by Funimation Entertainment.
The timeline is around or between World War I and World War II. Uses satire and comedy to give a basic history lesson shows cultural diversities. Wikipedia states that "historical, political, and military interaction between countries is allegorically misrepresented in Hetalia as social and romantic interaction between the characters; the webcomic version in particular depicts military and economic incursions using various innuendo.} and this seems acurate from the short scenes i have viewed.....below you can purchase the different series or you can view some youtube videos through these links....

and last but not least.... for all those who believe that anime or manga is sexiest or too sexual or profiles woman as sexist objects take note of this fact...MOST ANIME OR MANGA IS CREATED AND DESIGNED BY WOMEN!!!!! HAHAHAHA THATS HILARIOUS!!!!!
